The Rolling Stones in Paris

I found out on a Monday afternoon that the Rolling Stones were playing in Paris on Friday. I had been so keen to see them for a long time. On Tuesday I made some phone calls and I landed a last minute VIP ticket for the show in Paris for Friday.
I was so excited to see the Stones. I booked a my train ticket right away. The night before the trip I decided to dye my hair red with a temporary dye. Friday morning I took the EuroStar over to Paris. As soon as I arrived to Paris, I went shopping. I bought some beautiful stuff for the Summer. Paris has the best selection for women when it comes to fashion. Then I went home quickly to change and headed out to see the Rolling Stones. The Struts were playing before the Stones.
The boys were about 20 years old and they wore weird make up. The singer reminded me of Freddy Mercury. His face was all made up and he had long hair. I did not think their music was very good. While we were waiting for the Stones, we were sipping beer from a Rolling Stones plastic cup.
We were chatting with others in the VIP area. There was a young girl who was dressed with the Rolling Stones tongue all over on her.
She had it on her boots, in her hair, she had some tattoos as well. Around 9pm the Rolling Stones hit the stage and the Stadium went crazy. Mick Jagger is certainly a very energetic performer despite of his old age. The show was absolutely amazing. They played many of their old hits. My favourite songs were Wild Horses and You Can’t Always Get What You Want of the night. They had a choir to introduce You Can’t Always get What You Want. It was so beautiful. In the end he closed the concert with Satisfaction. The concert was fantastic. I was so thrilled to be there. Unfortunately the French did not have the proper infrastructure to handle massive amount of people after an event like this and thousands of people were standing on the street trying to get into the metro for hours. It was nothing like I had ever experienced before. It took about 3 hours to get home. After the challenging journey home, I managed to get back by around 2am.

The next day I woke up and got out to experience Paris a bit. Went around the Opera to do some more shopping. Went to Gallerie Lafayette.

The building was so beautiful. I love going there. for shopping Then I hang around the neighbourhood and I decided to finish the day at the Centre Pompidou. Walking around Paris was great. I discovered so many art pieces of the street artist Space Invader.
I also saw Montmartre in the distance.
I found some cool bakeries that made some funny buns.
I finished the tour at the Hotel de Ville which is one of my favourite buildings in Paris. Later I met up with some friends for dinner. We sat outside on the terrace of a restaurant and we were playing card games. It was great fun! I really enjoyed it. It was great to see friends, have some delicious French food and shop in Paris. Next morning I took the Eurostar back from Gare du Nord to St Pancras International in London. It was a great weekend!

Monaco Grand Prix

We took the train from Cannes to Monaco. We got there is about an hour. I love that train ride along the coast of the Cote d’Azur. It is so scenic. We went to the Meridien, we changed and then went to a yacht party on the port. The party was nice and mellow. They were serving champagne with gold particles. It is so typical in Monaco that even the champagne has gold swimming in it. After a couple of hours on the yacht we went to the night club the Billionaires at the Fairmont.
We already recognized many people from Cannes. Naomi Campbell was celebrating her birthday at the VIP area with Ricardo Tischi and Edward Enniful. I know Edward from my modelling years. He is a famous stylist in London. We shot a couple of editorials back when I was in the business. The whole club was going crazy. It was great fun! At the table next to us was Leonardo DiCaprio with Robin Thicke and Paris Hilton. Leonardo was wearing a hat, so he was not so easy to recognize, but I am pretty sure everyone around him realized who he was. We ended the night at 5am at Nobu at the Fairmount. Late night/early morning sushi might not be the best for the beach body, but Nobu is always delicious! The sun was up when we got back to the hotel, it was around 6am.

The next day we walked around Monaco, because I wanted to show my friend the town. We walked along the port all the way up to the castle. The view was beautiful from up there.

The prince was having his annual reception at the castle when we started heading down, so we saw all sorts of fancy cars driving up to the mountain. Some of them were escorted by the police. The night started at the Beach Club of the Meridian called Sunset Beach. The music was pumping and everyone were on the tables.
After about an hour, we decided to go to a yacht party we were invited to. It was on a huge three-storey yacht.

My friend the famous economist Nouriel Roubini was there.
We also chatted up Kellan Lutz, who is a new upcoming movie star of Expendables. He was very nice. We knew many faces from other parties we attended in the previous few days. Prince Albert arrived around midnight. He was surrounded by security but he was very friendly and talkative. I met him several times at the London Olympics so he did say hi to me. The yacht party had some amazing dancers and entertainers.

After a few hours on the yacht, we went to SASS Café. The place was very dark and incredibly busy so we left quickly. The next stop was at Jimmy’z. We ran into many friends at Jimmy’z as well. We stayed there for about an hour then decided to go to sleep.

Sunday was the day of the race. After checking out of the hotel, we went to a German house party on the top of a building by the port. The view was spectacular.

The food and the booze were great the people at the party were pretty interesting. After about an hour or two, we decided to fight our way through the crowd and find the head over to Stelios’s place. Stelios is famous for being the founder of EasyJet and for some of the parties he has thrown in the past. Stelios’s party had many beautiful people from Monaco and from all over the World. The champagne was flowing and there was plenty of Greek food and sweets for everyone. Stelios has a big balcony which was right above the finish line so I was lucky to see the end of the race from there. Roseberg won the race and he was jumping up and down from joy. There was a huge screen just above the port that showed him closely.

Shortly after the race ended I had to say good-bye to all my friends who came around to Stelios’s party and we headed to the airport to catch a flight to London. This was certainly one of the most exciting trips I have had in a while and I was very sad to leave the South of France to go back to London.
